Supplemental Reports Identified in LERs In the past, OPPD has not considered the date expected for submittal of an LER supplement to be a firm commitment date.
This practice, while consistent with guidance provided in NUREG-1022, does not meet OPPD's objectives of timely and responsive communications with the NRC.
Hence, this practice is being changed.
From now on, the expected submittal date for LER supplements will be considered a firm commitment.
This is also true for Security LERs.
This change in our phil-osophy affects three LERs.
In each instance, corrective action is underway but not yet complete.
The expected submittal date for the supplement to LER-285/
88-012-00 is November 30, 1988, for LER-88-006 is September 30, 1988, and for LER-88-008, the expected date is prior to the end of the refueling outaga. Any alteration to these schedules will be by written communication with the NRC.
