DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 CURTAIN FIRE DAMPERS SDAR: CP-84-008 (SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT)

SDAR: CP-82-002, "DESIGN OF HORIZONTAL FIRE DAMPERS" Gentlemen:
On July 20, 1984, we notified you via our report TXX-4235 of a reportable deficiency involving curtain fire dampers.
The purpose of this report is to include the issue regarding the design of horizontal fire dampers, SDAR CP-82-002, under the corrective actions specified for 50AR CP-84-008.
On May 28, 1982, we notified you via our report TXX-3523 of a reportable deficiency invoh'ing the design of horizontal fire dampers (SDAR CP-82-002).
This issue was subsequentl'y identified by our report logged TXX-6435, dated May 13, 1987, as an item for which a final report had been issued.
- However, the corrective actions for SDAR CP-82-002 require revision.
The corrective actions for SDAR CP-84-008 as previously stated in our reports TXX-6584 and TXX-88352, dated August 17, 1987, and March 30, 1988, respectively, have replaced those corrective actions previously stated for SDAR CP-82-002 in TXX-3523.
We do not anticipate the need to submit any further reports for SDAR CP-82-002 or.SDAR CP-84-008. However, in the event a supplemental report is neccessary, both, issues will be reported under SDAR CP-84-008.
