2/14/86 NARRATIVE SIMIARY Month: January, 1986 Catawba Unit i began the month at 100%.
Several power reductions occurred during the month due to Turbine Acceptance Testing. On January 15, the unit began reducing power because both trains of Control Room Ventilation were inoperable. One trair. was returned to service on January 16. The unit tripped January 19 during Turbine Acceptance Testing. The unit returned to service on January 22, but held at 20% power while a relief valve was repaired. The unit returned to 100% on January 24.
The unit operated at 100% until January 28, P
when vacuum on the Main condenser was lost during cooling tower screen cleaning.
The unit was back in service on January 29.
The unit finished the month at 90%
while cleaning cooling tower screens.
