The Commission approved an order addressing the National Whistleblower Center's (NWC)

September 11,1998, petition for review of the August 27,1998, Board order denying NWC's motion for enlargement of time within which to submit contentions. The order grants an  !

extension until September 30,1998.

JL SECY-98-216 - North Atlantic Enerav Corooration (Seabrook Station Unit No.1): Atomic Safety and Licensina Board Memorandum and Order Rulina on Intervention. LBP-98-23 (Sect. 4.1998)

The Commission approved an order taking sua sponte review of LBP-98-23 to exercise its inherent authority over adjudications and review the segmentation issue and the Board's intervention rulings. The order requests the parties to provide briefs on allissues relevant to segmentation and intervention, and specifically brief two Board statements.
