ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT (TAC NO. 67136)

The Conmission has issued the enclosed Arrendment No. 20 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-21 for Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1, in response to your application dated September 29, 1987.

The amendment will revise the Technical Specifications to incorporate requirements '

for a h*lon system in the control room. This halon system is a fulfillment of a cormitment m6de by the licensee and documented in a safety evaluation report-issued on November 6, 1985 in support of an exemption to 10 CFR 50, Appendix R.

A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. The notice of issuance will be included in the Connission's bi-weekly Federal Register notice.
