This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. D. T. Wallace of
this office on June 20, 1988 through June 24, 1988 at the Millstone Nuclear
Power Station, Unit 2 activities authorized by NRC License No. DRP-65. At the
conclusion of the inspection, Mr. D. T. Wallace discussed our findings with
Mr. J. S. Keenan and other members of your staff.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
Within.the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were
observed.
