SUFt%RY W e following report highlights the operating experience of Wolf Creek Generating Station for the month.of July, 1988. This report is being provided pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.1.8.

I.

SUbt%RY OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE We unit operated near 100 percent power throughout the month. On

. July 31, 1988, Wolf Creek Generating Station completed 165 days of continuous operation.

II.

MAJOR SAFFJTY RELATED MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES 1.

A coupling and a 90 degree elbow were replaced downstream of a letdown orifice throttle valve in the Chemical and Volume Control System.

2.

Cracks in the body to bonnet seal welds on two steam generator tube sheet drain valves were ground out and rewelded.

3.

Replaced printed circuit boards in two Reactor Coolant System temperature instruments and one Main Steam pressure instrument.

4.

Replaced a pressure transmitter on the hydraulic system for a Main i

Feedwater Isolation Valve.

5.

Replaced a potentiometer and a bistable'in the Load Shed/ Emergency
