This letter forwards proposed amendments, under the cover of Revision 18, to the U. S. Nuc! ear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved August 1983 "Physical Security Plan (PSP), San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1, 2 and 3,"
for NRC review in accordance with the reference.
Revision 18 to this Plan incorporates textual and figure (drawing) changes which are a result of the new rules. This revision will not be distributed to manual holders until receipt of the final NRC review results.
Accordingly, enclosed are six copies of Revision 18 PSP textual pages and figure changes for review. Two copies have also been forwarded by this letter to the Regional Administrator, NRC, Region V.
The changes described in the enclosure and its attachments do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of this Plan. The attachments to the enclosure contain "Safeguards Information" and must be protected under 10 CFR 73.21.
