Page 29 of OSH 8-201 states that quarterly exposure limits may be exceeded under certain conditions. Please note that 10 CFR Part 20 currently does not allow the use of this procedure.
Also, page 30 of OSH 8-201 states that equipment with fixed alpha contamination up to 1000 disintegrations per minute (dpm) may be used by personnel outside radiatit, areas. However, the decontamination guidelines of July 1982, copy enclosed, indicate a maximum limit of 300 dpm per 100 square centimeters for transuranics.
