This letter refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. W. Oliveira of
this office on May 9-13, 1988 at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Lusby,
Maryland of activities authorized bv NRC License Nos. OPR-53 and DPR-69.
Mr. W. Oliveira discussed the results of the inspection with Messrs. J. Lippold
and L. Russell of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is
nclosed with this letter. Within these areas,-the
inspection consisted of selected examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
