UNAUTHORIZED DISCLOSURES OF SENSITIVE INFORMATION This is in response to.your November 12, 1985, memorandum requesting a review by this office of SECY 65-20 and incidents of unauthorized disclosures.
We have reviewed the accuracy of your Enclosure A (pp. 41-43) and confirm its accuracy with regard to the Office of Inspector and Auditor's (OIA) response on September 18, 1985. However, additional information should be brought to your attention. An ongoing OIA audit has identified three incidents in which sensitive information was placed in a Public Document Room file in response to a Freedom of Information and Privacy Act request. An open CIA investigation has tentatively identified ten unauthorized disclosures within the NRC of classified information. These are both open matters and additional infonna-tion cannot be provided at this time.
