BECo Letter 87 183, Dated November 13, 1987 In your reference 1 letter you comitted to complete your valve testing required by IEB 85-03 prior to November 15, 1987.

At the time of your Reference 1 letter, you expected your refueling outage to be complete and return to power to complete the testing prior to the comitted time.

Your refererce ? letter states that you were not able to meet the comitment since you have not at this date returned to power and therefore could not test the valves. Consequently, by your reference 2 letter, you requested an j

extansion for completing all of the identified valve testing to 90 days after full power is reached at Pilgrim and provide test results 120 days after completion of testing.

We have reviewed your request and circumstances and grant the extension as j

requested in your reference 2 letter.
