Inspection on March 21 through 31, 1988 (Reports No. 50-266/88008(DRSS);

Reports; Testing and Maintenance; Physical Barriers - Protected and Vital I

Areas; Compensatory Measures; Assessment Aids; Access Control - Personnel, l

Packages and Vehicles; Detection Aids - Protected Areas; Alarm Stations, '

Training and Qualifications, Safeguards Continger.cy Plan; Licensee action on

previous inspection findings and a review of the circumstances surrounding the l

degraded security barrier which was reported on March 4,1988.

Results: iwo of three previous inspection findings were closed. The

remaining finding which involved aspects of an intrusion detection system will

continue to be monitored. The licensee was in compliance with NRC regulations

in 14 of 15 inspected areas. One potential violation and an open item were i

identified this inspection and are described below: ,
