SUBJECT: NRC. INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-259/88-08, 50-260/88-08, AND

This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission-(NRC) inspection conducted by
A. H. Johnson on March 22-24, 1988.
The inspection included a review of
actf vities authorized for your Browns Ferry facility. At the conclusion of the
inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff. .

This inspection was performed to ensure that licensed operators in the fourth
accelerated Requalification Group had satisfactorily completed your accelerated
training course and are ready to perform licensed duties in the shutdown and
refueling modes.
The inspection included reviews and regrading of completed
Browns Ferry written examinations and review of completed _ simulator examina-
tions.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identifiea.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosure
