of this office on April 25-29 and May 3-4, 1988, at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power
Station and the Pilgrim Training Annex in Plymouth, Massachusetts, of activities ;
authorized by NRC License No. OPR-35 and to the discussions of our findings l
held by Mr. Bailey with Mr. E. S. Kraf t of your staff at the conclusion of the I
inspection.

Areas. examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection
Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examinations of the security organization, policies,
plans, procedures and recerds, intery;ews with personnel, and observations by
the inspector. The licensee has established and is implementing a significantly l
improved security program over that which existed when the station was shutdown
in April, 1986, i
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure
