This refers to the routine safety inspection in the area of nonradiological
chemistry conducted by Mr. H. Zibulsky of this office on February 29 -
March 4, 1988 at'the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2, Lusby,
Maryland, of ' activities authorized by HRC License Nos. DPR-53 and DPR-69 and
to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Zibulsky with Mr. J. Lemons and
other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during~this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed.with this letter. Within'these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative

records,. interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
