Thank you for your response of June 6, .1988, to our Notice of Violation issued
on May 6,1988, concerning activities conducted at your Catawba facility.

have evaluated your response and found that it meets the requirements of-

In the past two years several violations
have been issued because of difficulties in implementing Technical Specifi-
cations requirements.
Incorrect interpretations and incomplete research
of requirements contributed to management and/or operator decisions that led to
the violations.
This violation is another example of a violation that could

reasonably be expected to have been prevented by your corrective action for
similar violations.
We will examine the implementation of your corrective action, luring future
inspections.
