Clarification of Combustion Engineering Management Changes
Reference:
Letter, P. L. McGill (C-E) to R. E. Cunningham (NRC),
February 2, 1988
Dear Mr. Cunningham:
On February 2,1988, Combustion Engineering officially informed the Nuclear Regulatory Commission of changes in the Combustion Engineering organization related to our nuclear fuel manufacturing activities.
Since that notification apparently caused some degree of confusion, this letter offers a clarification as to the appropriate communication channels between our organizations.
Attachment (1) provides an overview of the present organizational structure of our nuclear fuel manufacturing operation.
As noted in the Reference letter, Dr. P. L. McGill, Vice President, Nuclear Fuel is the "license recipient" for all nuclear fuel related activities at Combustion Engineering (this position was formerly held by Mr. Harold Lichtenburger).
The Plant Managers of both the Windsor (Docket No.
70-1100/ License No. SNM-1067) und llematite (Docket No. 70-36/ License No, SNM-33) fuel manufacturing facilities report directly to Dr. McGill.
j Attachment (2) summarizes pertinent information for the various materials licenses and certificates of compliance issued by the NRC to Combustion Engineering.
Included is info mation regarding who at Combustion Engineering is authorized to make commitments on behalf of the Company, who should be the recipient of NRC correspondence and who should receive copies of such correspondence.
