ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NOS.109 AND 98 TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES DPR-39 AND NO. DPR ZION NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. 66858 AND 66859)
The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Connission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.109 to Facility Operating License No. OPR-39 and Amendment No. 98 to Facility Operating License NPF-48 for the Zion Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2, respectively. The amendaents consist of changes to the Technical Specification in response to your application transmitted by letter dated December 9,1987 and supplemented February 11, 1988.
These amendments upgrade Zion Station's program for verifying the existence of adequate battery capacity.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation supporting Amendment No.109 to Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-39 and Amendment No. 98 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-48 is enclosed. The Notice of Issuance will be included in the Commission's biweekly Federal Register notice.
