DIABLO CANYON ALLEGATION - MR. C. NIEBERGER OF THE SAN LUIS OBISPO TELEGRAM-TRIBUNE REGARDING FALSIFIED WELDER QUALIFICATIONS l
The attached hand written note, M. Mendonca to D. Kirsch, dated October 6, 1983, describes the subject allegation which were received on October 3, 1983.
I request that your office take the lead in investigating this matter and report the results to myself in the ccurr.e of the in estigation. The allegation has been assigned alligation numbet RV-83-0039. Please let me know your schedule for investigating this matter and any preliminary findings as soon as possible, since this information may be of interest to the commission during a Diablo Canyon Commission briefing on October 28, 1983.
