This letter refers to the preopera' clonal security program review conducted
by Mr. G. C. Smith of this office on May 4-8, 1987, of activities authorized
by HRC License No. CPPR-105 and to the discussions of our findings held by
Mr. Smith with you at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this review are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-
tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
review consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector,
portions of the enclosed inspection report and a portion of Attachment 1
contain details of your security program that have been determined to be
exempt from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21 (Safeguards
Information).
Therefore, the portions so identified will not be placed in
the NRC Public Document Room and will receive limited distribution.
This
letter and the remainder of the inspection report will be placed in the
Public Document Room, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a).
No reply to this letter is required.
