MY EMPLOYMENT WITH CAROLINA POWER AND LIGHT WAS TEF,'INATED IN NOVEMBER 1992 AS A DIRECT RESULT OF MY COMPLAINTS TO THE NRC RELATING TO THE EROSION / CORROSION PROGRAM AT THE H.

THE FINDINGS BY THE NRC ARE OUTLINED IN LAST YEARS SALP REPORT.

'FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS, I HAD BEEN CRITICAL OF THE SUPPORT THE EROSION / CORROSION PROGRAM RECEIVED.

THIS CRITICISM INCLUDED NOT ONLY THE LACK OF MANPOWER AND LACK OF CORPORATE SUPPORT BUT ALSO THE LACK OF P! PING DRAWINGS, INCOMPLETE AND INACCURATE DRAWINGS, INCOMPLETE W.!;I IHEMISTRY HISTORY, AND UNKNOWN OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VARIOUS SYSTEMS.

MY CRITICISM ALSO INCLUDED THE POOR ENGINEERING BY THE CP&L CORPORATE ENGINEERING OFFICE RELATING TO THE DESIGN OF NEW AND REPLACEMENT SYSTEMS.

THIS LACK OF ADEQUATE DESIGN RESULTED IN PREMATURE FAILURE OR REPLACEMENT DUE TO WEAR IN NUMEROUS CASES.

MY TERMINATION WAS INVESTIGATED BY CP&L THROUGH THE QUALITY CHECK PROGRAM.

THEIR INVESTIGATION DID NOT ADDRESS MY CONCERNS.AND WAS BASICALLY A WHITEWASH JUSTIFICATION OF MY TERMINATION BY THE SAME PERSON OR PERSONS RESPONSIBLE.

THE REASON FOR MY TERMINATION CITED BY CP&L WAS FOR UNSATISFACTORY

?ERFORMANCE WHICH CANNOT BE SUPPORTED BY FACT.

WHAT CAN BE SUF.'OETED IS THE LACK OF SUPPORT SY CP&L MANAGEMENT, HARASSMENT BY MY SUPERVISOR DUE TO MY COMPLAINTS, INCREASED WORKLOAD, AND TOTAL DISREGARD FOR THE 1

SAFETY OF THE ROBINSON PLANT.

DOCUMENTATION OF MY CHARGES CAN BE SUPPORTED BY PERSONNEL RECORDS, NRC AND CP&L QUALITY AUDIT REPORTS, VARIOUS INTERNAL COMPUTER AND WRITTEN RECORDS IN MY POSSESSION, AND THROUGH INTERVIEWS WITH VARIOUS CP&L PERSONNEL OUTSIDE THE DIRECT CHANGE OF COMMAND.

I DO NOT TAKE THIS ACTION LIGHTLY AND FEEL THE NRC SHOULD DO AN INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION.
