Thank you for your review and thoughtful comments on the Philadelphia Electric Comoany (PECo) Commitment to Excellence Action Plan (CTEAP) suomitted in response to our orcer shutting cown ".he Peacn Bott0m plants on March 31, 1987. We have forwarded your com.ents to RCo for tneir consideration in revising their plan.
We note that your concerns are generally consistent with many of tnose which we have previously transmitted to PECo.
Currently, we are waiting for PECo to respond to our concerns about the inability of corporate management to identify, address and correct problems.
Based on the announcement of a corporate reorganization made by PECo on October 9, 1987, we exoect that a formal submittal cescribing the new organization will be made in the near future. We also anticipate a staff level meeting near the site to discuss tneir plans for reorganization and revisions to their action plan to address our concerns. The time and place of the meeting will be announced at a later cate.
Your comments (within the scope of tne shutdown order) will be factored into l
our review of the PECo olan and its revision. We will inform you of the results of our evaluation of af issues relevant to the shutdown order.
