This-refers to the inspection conducted-by Mr. J. I. Tapia of this office
during the period November 30 through December 4, 1987, of activities.'
authorized by.NRC Operating License NPF-38 for the Waterford Steam Electric
Station, Unit 3, and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. G. E. Wuller
and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas axamined during the inspection included a followup of previously
identified items (one violation and two unresolved items) and implementation of
licensee actions taken in response to.NRC Compliance Bulletin No. 87-02.
Within these areas, the inspection'_ consisted of selective examination of
procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and
observations by the NRC inspector.
The inspection findings are documented in
the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violstions or deviations were
identified.
