A routine safety inspection of the water chemistry control program was
conducted by Mr. H. Bicehouse of this office on November 30-December 4, 1987
at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2.
Our findings were
discussed with Mr. J. Lemons and others of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection on December 4, 1987.

The areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
i
Combined Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these
j
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
j
representative records, interviews with personnel and observations by the
inspector.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

identified.
