GENERIC LETTER 83-28, ITEM 2.1, PART 2 By letter dated April 5,1984, you responded to the requirements of Salem ATWS Item 2.1 (Part 2) of our Generic Letter 83-28 as related to Point Beach 1 and 2.
Based on our review of your response, we find your program meets the requirements of Item 2.1 (Part 2), Vendor Interface Programs-Reactor Trip System Components, and is therefore acceptable. Our Safety Evaluation documenting our review is enclosed.
The Equipment Classification portion (Part 1) of Item 2.1 is under review and a separate safety evaluation will be sent to you when our review is complete.
