SYSTEMATIC ASSESSMENT OF LICENSEE PERFORMANCE REPORT NO. 50-302/87-27
This refers to the NRC's Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP)
Board Report for your Crystal River facility which was sent to you on
November 30, 1987; our meeting of December 18, 1987, at which we discussed this
report; and your written comments in a letter dated January 18, 1988, relative to
the report. The enclosure contains the meeting summary of December 18, 1987,
and the NRC response to your written comments of January 18, 1988.
Thank you for your efforts in evaluating the SALP Board Report and providing
your assessment of the various functional areas in the Report. A review of
your comments resulted in the enclosed Appendix which responds to your
comments, incorporates the appropriate changes and provides the Errata for the
final version of the SALP Board Report. With regard to your comment on the
rating of Emergency Planning, the area was reevaluated and it will remain a
Category 2 rating.
The actions you are taking in the surveillance functional
area should show improvements in this
rea and reverse the declining
performance trend.
No reply to this letter is required; however, should you have any questions
concerning this matter, I will be pleased to discuss them with you.
