Amendment to Application for Authorization to Deliver Special Nuclear Material to a Carrier for Transport Under License SNM-960, Docket 70-754
Dear Mr. Chitwood:
By letter of September 18, 1968, General Electric requested AEC Specific Licensing for the GE Shielded Container - Model 100. As a consequence of discussions with your staff, General Electric hereby amends its application with the new/ revised pages herewith included.
- Asterisks enclose revised inforcation and new pages. The decimal system pagination allows expansion of information, as required.
General Electric hereby revises pages 8, 9, and 17 of the application and submits three new attachments,as Exhibits B, C, and D.
Exhibit B presents data on internal heat load evaluations, Exhibit C, a method of assessing static loads, and Exhibit D, asse=bly and detail drawings for the GE -
Shielded Container - Model 100.
The Model 100 application is designed to act as a basis for subsequent applications involving other GE container models. Accordingly, we would appreciate your early notification of any additional information that would be helpful in completing your evaluation.
