equipment and piping can safely perform their design function during a seismic event. The results of these analyses and. evaluation were discussed with the NRC reviewer during the inspection held in Knoxville, Tennessee, February 15 through 19, 1988.

l To close this' finding, the following infonmation is provided for final review:

1) Attachment 1 presents a seismic analysis report, "Development of Seismic Acceleration Response Spectra for Diesel Generator Building for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant," documenting the earthquake analysis of the Diesel Generstor Building for a site-specific earthquake (84th percentile). Calculations are documented by branch identifier SCG CSG 88-108,

2) Attachment 2 contains a summary of the piping and support-load stress changes based upon evaluation performed with the seismic response spectra of item 1. Calculations are identified by RIMS No.

B25 880226 800.

3) Attachment 3 describes the test spectrum used.in the qualification of equipment in the diesel generator building and a comparison of this spectrum with the analysis spectra of item 1. This is documented by RIMS No,'B41 880227 003. -

' There is no impact on safety, and no hardware changes are required. No further action is required to resolve this item.
