SJAE inlet valves shut and could not be recet. Reector scrammed when turbine control valve fast closure resulted from loss of conden-ser vacuum.
l.
The events leading to the scram will. be reviewed in training classes for all I&C technicians.

While descending in power, a stator cooling runback periodic test was performed on the unit tur-bine/ generator. The runback failed to stop at the low power stop and the reactor scrammed on high pressure when the bypass valve capacity was exceeded. The nozzle safe-ends were inspected and no changes in previous-ly identified indications were found.
