The staff has evaluated reference one (1), applicants' response to staff request for additional information, in the review for approval of the use of ASME Code Cases N-397 and N-411. Enclosed is the staff's evaluation which approves the use of these ASME Code Cases with some restrictions and provides the basis for the approval.

In reference two (2), the NRC staff approved the use of ASME Code Case N-378 in the examination of bottom mounted instrumentation seal tables for Comanche Peak Units I and 2. In addition, the staff requested additional information. This letter acknowledges the receipt of reference (3). The staff reaffirms the acceptability of applicants' use of Code Case N-378.
