SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT TWO FEBRUARY, 1986 02-01-86'to 02-09. Unit 2 entered the month operating at a level of 790 MWe and at maximum core flow. The unit operated until February 4 at 0555 hours0.00642 days <br />0.154 hours <br />9.176587e-4 weeks <br />2.111775e-4 months <br /> when the generator was taken off-line because of a steam leak in a main steam drain line. The line was repaired and while the unit was preparing.for start-up on February 6, a reactor scram occurred at 1949 hours0.0226 days <br />0.541 hours <br />0.00322 weeks <br />7.415945e-4 months <br /> when the mode switch was moved from refuel to start'-up.
The scram was attri-buted to contacts in the mode switch that overtraveled to the run position. With mode switch contacts in the run position, the reactor scrammed on low condenser vacuum. The reactor was brought to critical at 2345.
02-09-86 to 02-28-86 The turbine was synchronized to the system on February 9 at 0245 hours0.00284 days <br />0.0681 hours <br />4.050926e-4 weeks <br />9.32225e-5 months <br /> and operated the remainder of the month reaching a power level of 840 MWe with an availability of 82.6% and a capacity factor of 71.85%.
