OPERATIONAL

SUMMARY

APRIL 1997 UNIT 1 Unit 1 Cycle 8 refueling outage continued throughout the month of April. Unit I was in Mode 6 at the

- beginning of the month with fuel being unloaded from the core. Unit I entered "no mode" on April 1 at 1108 -

EST when core ofiload was completed. Unit 1 entered Mode 6 on April 18 at 0133 EDT and entered Mode 5 on April 25 at 1600 EDT, Unit I remained in Mode 5 at the end of April.

UNIT 2 Unit 2 generated 848,190 megawatt hours (MWh) (gross) electrical power during April with a capacity factor of 102.1 percent.;There were no outages or pcwer reductions of greater than 20 percent to report during

-April.

SUMMARY

OF POWER-OPERATED RELIEF VALVES (PORVs) AND SAFETY VALVES CHALLENGES No PORVs or safety valves were challenged in . April.
