Gentlemen- I Technical Specification Change Request NPF-38-192 was submitted via letter W3F1-97-0054 on March 27,1997. Please find attached a supplement to Technical l Specification Change Request NPF-38-192. This supplement was developed based on telephone conversations held with your staff on Thursday, April 10,1997.

Technical Specification Change Request NPF-38-192 added surveillance e requirement 4.5.2.b.2 to verify the ECCS piping is full of water at least once per 31 l days. In order to maintain consistency within the specification, we request that the wording of surveillance requirement 4.5.2.j be modified by replacing "... venting the ECCS pump casings and discharge piping high points." with "... verifying the ECCS  ;

piping is full of water."

Therefore, please make the wording change as indicated on the attached. This is l purely an editorial change to maintain consistency within the specification and has no l affect on the no significant hazards evaluation previously provided.
