Dear Mr. Chairman:

This is in response to your March 13, 1954 inquiry on the Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Station license application addressing the (a) numerous license conditions and surveil .ance procedures; (b) the qualifications of operators; and (c) the drywell cooling system.

In an effort to provide as timely a res::onse as possible, I am providing the staff draft answers to your questions as interim information. Pending the completion cf the Commissien's review of these answers, a. final response will be provided at a later date.

In view of the fact that these respenses ar.d attachments have not been made available to the public at this time, it is recuested that their use be restricted to the members and staff of the Subec mittee and not made available to the public.
