Inspection Report No. 50-412/85-26
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. G. A. Walton and
L. J. Prividy of this office on December 3,1985 - January 6,1986 at the Beaver
Valley Power Station, Unit 2, Shippingport, Pennsylvania of activities authorized
by NRC License No. CPPR-105 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr.
Walton with Mr. Ewing and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
We acknowledge your response dated December 27, 1985 to the noncompliance identi-
fled in Inspection Report 85-21 regarding the Quality Control inspector error.
We will perform inspections of your corrective actions in future inspections.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection
Report which is enclosed with this letter.
Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, in-
terviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
However, several
areas of concern were identified which are listed in the report results.
No reply to this letter is required.
