Safety Evaluation Report for Items 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, 3.2.3, 4.1, and 4.5.1 of Generic Letter 83-?8: McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 The staff has completed a review to assess the completeness and adequacy of your responses to Generic Letter 83-28 for Action Items 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 3.2.1, 3. 2.2, 3. 2.3, 4.1, and 4. 5.1.
For McGuire Units 1 and 2, your responses to these items were found to be adequate and meet the intent of Generic Letter 83-28.
The enclosed Safety Evaluation Report was prepared with the technical assistance of NRC Region II and provides a (echnical evaluation for the subject items which represent the staff's judgement of the areas evaluated. Should you have any questions, contact your project manager, Darl Hood, at 301-492-8408.
By previous letters dated May 30 and June 21, 1985, we provided Safety Evaluation Reports for Action Items 1.1 and 1.2, respectively. The remaining items (2.1, 2.2, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5.2, and 4.5.3) will be addressed upon completion of our reviews.
