Enclosed are the results of the inspections and evaluations performed on the Catawba 2B diesel engine. Following these inspections, the 2B diesel experi-enced two failures of main bearing No. 7 during return-to-service testing.

Causes and corrective actions will be discussed in a followup report pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55e.
