STATUS REPORT FROM NRC INCIDENT INVESTIGATION TEAM The Incident.Ir.vestigation Team (IIT) has completed the first phase of its investigation gj into the loss of power and water hammer event that occurred on November 21, 1985. All
~'
tterviews of licensee and Regional personnel were completed on schedule. The team reviewed all available action. plans for troubleshooting the affected equipment. The licensee has prepared a majority of the maintenance work orders to achieve the objectives sof the action pla.is. Thus,'the licensee has begun its investigation of the causes for the water hammer in the "B". steam generator feedwater piping.
The IIT departed the site on the evening of November 30, 1985 and will reassemble in m ;Bethesda, Maryland..The team will conclude its review of action plans as they become x.available and will begin preparatips of its report. A second *,ite visit is tentatively scheduled during the, week offDecember 9, E85 to review the results of the licensee's
