SUMMARY
OF MEETING HELD ON JULY 25, 1985 TO DISCUSS INTEGRATED LIVING SCHEDULES BACKGROUND:
An initial meeting was held with Florida Power and Light Company. (FPL) on June 22,1984, as detailed in the Meeting Summary dated July 2,1984.
Subsequent to the meeting, FPL responded to Generic Letter 85-07,
" Implementation of Integrated Schedules for Plant Modifications", dated Pay 2, 1985. The FPL response, dated June 24, 1985, provided their views on Integrated Living Schedules (ILS) as requested by the Generic Letter. A meeting was requested by FPL to provide additional details on their ILS' development and discuss the overall effort.
MEETING
SUMMARY
The meeting was opened with introductions of the participants.
'A copy of the list of attendees is included as Enclosure 1.
Mr. Jerry Burford provided a summary of FPL's activities related to development of and ILS for Turkey Point Plant Units 3 and 4 as outlined in Enclosure 2.
Discussions followed relating to ILS in terms of Comission policy, rule making, acceptance criteria and methodology. The staff addressed the items and indicated the Commission policy is the same as indicated in Generic Letter 83-20, dated May 7,1984. The staff further indicated they were in the process of assessing the responses to Genreic Letter 85-07, dated May 2, 1985.
FPL indicated they will host an industry comference on October 23 through 25,-
1985 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and requested NRC participation.
The staff indicated their interest and would pursue the request with the appropriate management.
