SUBJECT:

FPL INTEGRATED LIVING SCHEDULE CONFERENCE A meeting was held with Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) on July 25 1985 discussing their efforts in developing an Integrated Living Schediile' (ILS).

FPL hosted an industry workshop in which 27 utilities participated.

These utilities represented 56 operating reactors and 27 under construction.

FPL is hosting a second industry meeting on October 23 thru 25. They have requested t'P.C participation at the meeting. Our participation / presentation would sumarize our experience with ILS amendments responses to GL 85-07, current policy, proposed or possibility of rulemaking and the development of standards or guidelines in reviewing ILS subnittals.

In addition, a panel discussion would be held with all meeting participants.

We have verbally indicated our will_ingness to participate.

It appears to be an excellent vehicle to comunicate the high emphasis the Commission has placed on ILS as indicated in the Policy and Planning Guidance.

Atteched is a copy of the propo:ed agenda for the meeting.

FP&L will follow up with a letter requesting NRC participation. Dan MacDonald has participated in a number of recent discussions with FPL and provided much of the narrative for this memo.
