This refers to the special safety inspection conducted during the period
August 12 through September 9, 1985, of activities at the Davis-Besse facility
authorized by NRC Operating License No. NPF-3.
We-are releasing the report at this time for your information. You will be
notified by separate correspondence of our decisi_on regarding enforcement
action based on the findings of this inspection. No writ' ten response is
required until you are notified of the proposed enforcement action.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a) of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this lettrer and the
enclosure will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
