I By letter dated December 12,1996 (Serial: BSEP 96-0451), and in accordance with Technical l
Specification 6.9.1.11 for the Brur.swick Steam Electric Plant (BSEP), Unit Nos.1 and 2, Carolina Power & Light (CP&L) Company submitted the operating statistics and shutdown experience information for the month of November 1996. Subsequently, by letter dated 1
January 14,1997 (Serial: BSEP 97-0015), CP&L submitted the operating statistics and shutdown experience information for the month of December 1996.
CP&L has determined that the BSEP Unit No.1 Gross Thermal Energy Generation (Megawatt-hours) data reported on Line 16 in the November 1996 and December 1996 reports is incorrect.
The calculations used to generate the reported year-to-date and cumulative Gross Thermal i
Energy Generation values inappropriately applied the uprated thermal power level to the year-j to-date and cumulative Gross Thermal Energy Generation data. Replacement pages for the November 1996 and December 1996 reports, with corrected year-to-date and cumulative Gross Thermal Energy Generation values for BSEP Unit No,1, are provided as Enclosures 1 and 2, respectively..
