Licensee Event Report (LER) No. 96-016-01 Please find enclosed LER No. 96-016-01, dated April 25,1997. A copy of this LER is also being sent to the Regional Administrator, USNRC Region III. This LER deals with an Engineered Safety Feature (ESF) actuation.

LER 96-016 (Reference 2) identified a completion date of April 3,1997 for revising certain procedures to address the issues identified in this LER. During the review of these procedures additional changes requiring additional reviews were noted. In order to accomplish these additional reviews, the original completion date has been extended to May 31,1997. The procedures affected by this change are all performed on an 60 month schedule and are not scheduled to be performed again until after the new completion date. This extention, therefore, has no affect on the original intent to revise the procedures before they are next performed.
