EJordan LJHarmon Gray File + 4 The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.107 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-1 for tLe Trojan Nuclear Plant. The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated January 29, 1985, as revised June 14, 1985.

The amendment revises the Technical Specifications to reduce the frequency of diesel generator testing and allow the engine to be warmed up for most tests Lafore increasing speed. The test starts from ambient conditions are to be c r. ducted se:::f-annually inctcad of r,cathly. NRC letter 04-15 identified that cold fast starts of diesel generator sets contribute to premature diesel engine degradation and excessive diesel generator testing contributes to unnecessary wear.

A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. The notice of issuance will be included in the Commission's next regular bi-weekly Federal Register notice.
