Introduction This document constitutes Addendum No. 2 to the Control Room Design Review (CRDR) Summary Report for Millstone Unit No. 3. This report documents the results of the eleven (11) checklist open items identified in Addendum No. I to the CRDR Summary Report, which was submitted to the NRC Staff on September 12, 1985. The following section corresponds to the same section in Addendum No.1.

Section 1.5.3 - Environmental, Computer and Communications Surveys Methodology Addendum No. I to the Summary Report indicated that the control room had been reviewed against Sections 6.1, 6.2 and 6.7 of NUREG-0700 with the exception of the following eleven (11) checklist items:

The review of the control room against these checklist items has been completed.

4 Findings and Corrections 1

The checklists produced two (2) additional HEDs: HED No. E-01 against the

Ventilation Section and HED No. CM-02 against the Announcing System Section.

Specifically, HED No. E-01 identified an excessive air velocity in one area of the control room and is currently being corrected by balancing the ventilation system. HED No. CM-02 concerns " dead spots" in the announcing system in some areas of the plant (i.e., outside the control room). This HED has been assigned a j Priority 2, Code A and will be corrected prior to commercial operation.
