ATWS Implementation Schedule t
The Omaha Public Power District hereby submits its schedule for meeting the requirements of Reference (2), as applicable to Fort Calhoun Station.
Considerable work has been performed by the Combustion Engineering Owners Group (CE0G) on the ATWS issue. A generic submittal to the Commission is being made by the CEOG for the portion of 10 CFR 50.62 c(1) which addresses the diversity in the auxiliary feedwater actuation and reactor trip systems.
It is believed this generic submittal will prove that enough diversity exists in the AFWAS and reactor trip systems of the C-E plants, so that no modifications to these systems will be required.
In complying with Reference (2), activities are planned for the portion of 10 CFR 50.62 c(1) concerning turbine trip systems and with 10 CFR 50.62 c(2).
The scheduled date of completion of construction is within 30 days after the 1987 outage, tentatively scheduled for the spring of 1987.
