This refers to the routine, safety inspection conducted by Mr. A. A. Varela of
this office on August 26 to 30, 1985, at the Beaver Valley Nuclear Power
Station Unit #2, Shippingport, Pennsylvania of activities authorized by NRC
License No. CPPR-105 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Varela with
C. E. Ewing at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this ins:_ction are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of sele: ive examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
