This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. W. J. Lazarus
and others on January 22-24, 1986 at the Pilgrim Generating Station, Plymouth,
Massachusetts, of activities authorized by NRC License No. OPR-35, and to
discussions of our findings held by Mr. Lazarus with Mr. R. Silva of your
staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The area examined during this inspection was confined to followup of findings
identified during previous emergency preparedness inspections and exercises. A
copy of the NRC Region ! Inspection Report is enclosed with this letter.
Within this area, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of pro-
cedures and representative records, interviews with licensee personnel, and
observations made by the inspectors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified and no
response is required.
