Gentlemen:

This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. J. E. Cummint and B. L.

Bartlett of this office during the period January 5 to 31, 1986, of activities

authorized by NRC Operating License No. NPF-42 for the Wolf Creek Generating

Areas examined during the inspection included plant status, followup on

During this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities were in

violation of NRC requirements. Consequently, you are required to respond to

this violation, in writing, in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.201

Notice of Violation enclosed with this letter.

We have also examined actions you have taken with regard to previously

identified NRC items. The status of these items is identified in paragraph 3

of the enclosed report.
